Centennial Dinner Celebration
Celebrating over 100 years of continuous service. The East Troy Electric Railroad Museum will be holding their Centennial Dinner Benefit, on September 29th 2007 on board their luxurious award winning Dinner Train with a five-course dinner equal to a formal dinning at some of Milwaukee's top restaurants. Boarding is at 4:45 pm and the Dinner train Departs East Troy at 5:30pm.
Since 1907, the line ran from Milwaukee to East Troy carrying passengers from the big city of Milwaukee to the rural town of East Troy. Along the way, people stopped to enjoy Wisconsin’s beautiful sites for which it is known for. And as the first commuter, The Milwaukee Electric Railroad & Light Company brought communities of families together in just 40 mins.
100 years later, The East Troy Electric Railroad Museum is the only electric operating freight Railroad running 100 years of non stop continuous service in the state of WI. The East Troy Electric Railroad Museum provides demonstrations rides, and an oral history to preserve the history of how people commuted in the early 1900's.
The East Troy Electric Railroad Museum is a non- profit 501c3 organization run by volunteers brought together by a common goal of preserving the history of The Milwaukee Electric Railroad & Light Company. Volunteers come from all over the states of Wisconsin and Illinois.
We invite you to come out and celebrate our 100th anniversary. Reservations are required seating is limited. Please call 262.642.3264
