Chicago, Illinois, was once a major electric railway hub! Help us celebrate that heritage and the 100th Birthday of Chicago South Shore and South Bend Railway Cars 9 and 13! Both were built in 1926 and in Chicago at the large Pullman Car and Manufacturing Company plant and operated between Randolph Street in Chicago and South Bend Indiana until retirement in 1983.

Other operating trains will be our three 1924-vintage 4000-series Chicago 'L' cars and our 1929-vintage CSS&SB cars nos. 30 and 33. Car 33 along with several other cars currently under restoration were saved in the 1980s by the National Park Service before coming to East Troy in 2010! NPS Rangers will be on site to share this history with guests. Kids can become a Junior Ranger and get a badge!

​Other railroad equipment from Chicago including vintage Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee interurban cars may be on display.
