East Troy and the museum are centrally located in southeastern Wisconsin where Interstate 43 meets State Highways 20, 120 and County Highway ES. East Troy is just 13 miles north of Lake Genenva on Hwy 120, about 35 miles southwest of Milwaukee off I-43 and about 30 miles west of Racine off Hwy 20.

Wisconsin Highway 20 runs west from Racine past Interstate Highway 94 to East Troy, and then on to US Hwy 12.  It is about 24 miles from I-94 to East Troy.

The Depot and Gift Shop is located at 2002 Church Street in the village of East Troy, two blocks north of the village square.  During operations, the telephone number is262-642-3263.

Church Street is the northern extension of Wisconsin Highway 120 (Old Cty G), just north of the village square. 

The Shop Carbarn is two blocks west of the Depot, just west of Division Street. It can be reached during operations by calling 262-642-3263.

Mukwonago, WI is located in western Waukesha County, seven miles northeast of East Troy.  It is located at the intersections of I-43, Wis. Hwy 83, and County ES.

The Elegant Farmer- Wisconsin's Largest Farm Market and the railroad's eastern passenger stop is located at the intersection of Hwys. ES and J, just southwest of Mukwonago. 262-363-6770 See: Elegant Farmer
