From Chicago:

From the more eastern parts of the area, you may take I-94 (or I-294 west to I-94) west (actual north) to Wisconsin Hwy 20; exit and turn left/west.  Go 25 miles to East Troy; pass Hwy ES stopsign; turn left/south on Fremont Street, which is the second left after you pass over the tracks.  Fremont jogs a little right and then left, turning into Church Street.  Just proceed south until you see the Depot by the tracks, on the left.  Our parking lot is two doors north of (before) the Depot.
Approximate travel time from O'Hare interchange: 90 minutes.

Highway 20 Construction Update

Wisconsin Highway 20 is closed in two places for construction, the intersection with U. S. Highway 45 and for bridge replacement between Waterford and East Troy. Detour signs are posted.

Alternate route: For those coming north from the Chicago region on I-294, I-94 or U. S. 41 you can exit I-94 at Wisconsin Highway 50 west of Kenosha. Go west on Highway 50 to the junction of U.S. Highway 12 and Wisconsin Highway 120. These three highway intersect east of Lake Geneva. (You do not need to go into Lake Geneva)

Wiscsonsin Highway 120 leaves U. S. 12 at the next exit. Follow Highway 120 for 12 miles to East Troy. Highway 120 becomes Church Street in East Troy. The East Troy Electric Railway Museum is on Church Street two blocks north of the Village Square.
